I, Joanna joy, am pursuing my masters in International Relations and Politics and completed my degree in History, Economics and Political Science. Spending my degree years in the city of Bangalore, made me realise the very normal things of village life becomes a luxury in the city such as that of looking at the stars. My interest in cities started with the fascination of looking at how cities are planned especially that of Barcelona. It showcases a wonderful job of how high density of people and beauty is balanced. Beyond the aesthetics of the grid, I seek to understand why certain cities adopt rigid patterns while others evolve organically. I also aspire to know the stories of different kinds of people in the city. I am interested in knowing how we can strike out a balance between environment and the growth of the cities.
