I love to write, capture moments of my life, and travel. I did my BA in English Literature, Mass Communications, and Journalism from CMS College, Kottayam and I'm currently pursuing MA Politics and International Relations from Mahatma Gandhi University. I took up urbanisation particularly because I needed a bit of a mental break from being so aware about the attrocities around the world and to recalibrate myself and withhold some sanity in order to perhaps be an advocate for the victims of those attrocities one day. Growing up in Mumbai and being very well aware of both the glamour and the struggle of a megacity, the prospect of being able to understand the root cause of that dichotomy and solving it to benefit everyone regardless of their social class, attracted me to this course. My very personal life experiences have led me to take this course and I hope I can equip myself to help uplift the people whom I adored and who adored me as well, as I am tired of this system which denigrates people based on the place they are born and the 'culture' that they belong to. I wish to also learn to design cities for the people and not the few elites who live in an ultra-developed pocket and to inculcate nature, reduce pollution, and how green and clean sources of energy can be integrated into the design of the city itself.
